We are Blackwell & Ruth (formerly PQ Blackwell), award-winning creators of international book projects for publishers in
40 countries. Our books are founded on subjects that matter to us and, we hope, add to the volume of good in the world.
We were fortunate to originate three books with Nelson Mandela and his colleagues at the Nelson Mandela Foundation. We have
sold Madiba's books in 35 languages. One of those books – Conversations with Myself –
featured a foreword by President Obama. We originated the only authorised portrait of Princess Diana, as well as
books with South African anti-apartheid heroes Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Ahmed Kathrada.
We have created a bestselling series of cookbooks that has already raised over $1 million for organisations
devoted to providing meals for people in need. We have a major new title in development – The Recipe: The ultimate
collection of time-honoured recipes by the world’s finest chefs for anyone who loves to cook – which will be
released in October 2018.
We have created a number of internationally bestselling projects focused on humanity. We created M.I.L.K. (Moments of Intimacy,
Laughter and Kinship) to celebrate what it is to be part of a family, to have friendship and, more than anything
else, to be loved. The M.I.L.K. series of books sold over four million copies around the world and led us to create
a high end photo books
We have created a number of award-winning books conceived to both celebrate the beauty of nature, and to provoke debate and
action towards preserving it.
